Pamela J. Laffitte
is a dedicated Alabamian with a profound commitment to public service, her community, and her country. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Degree with an emphasis in Management from Faulkner University. She's also a graduate of Southwest Alabama Police Academy (Corrections), Alabama Jail Training Academy, and Air Force Leadership AcaCorredemy. Pamela’s extensive career in Law Enforcement is anchored by being a former Public Safety I Dispatcher with Prichard Police Department, a retiree of the Mobile County Sheriff's Office after a tenure of 26 years and 6 mos. of decorated service, and a former Auxiliary (Reserve) Deputy until the passing of her mother in 2004. As a former Vice-President and President of the Mobile County Merit System, Pamela fought for pay raises, incentives, affordable health care co-payments for retirees, etc... Pamela served honorably for over 14 years in the United States Air Force Reserves, providing critical support and personnel expertise during Operations Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom as a Personnel Craftsman (3S071) and Assistant Wing Career Advisor. A deeply involved community member; Pamela works as a substitute teacher for the Mobile County Public School System, an active member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church as a Lector, former Alabama State Democratic Executive Member Place 101, 99, and presently holds Place 99, and other local civic organizations.

Administrative/Personnel Support
Performed administrative and personnel support as a Personnel Craftsman in all aspects of the 919th Special Operations Wing’s MPF. Scheduled appointments and maintained accurate and updated confidential files. Assisted with Newcomers, training for personnel, part time staff interns, and Civil Service employees. Provided telephone support for military members and their family. Investigated and solved analytical problems. Worked mobility lines during deployments.
Management/Customer Service
Provided Newcomers Orientation to over 50 newly assigned personnel each month. Demonstrated exceptional ability to maintain, compose, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while preserving confidentiality. Provided Customer Service to at least 1,300 members of the 919th Special Operations Wing. Managed customer relations and provided exemplary service to all customers. As the central point for the Military Personnel Flight and offering counseling to at least 1,300 members of the 919th Special Operations Wing during peacetime and Wartime (Global War on Terrorism). Served as an Assistant Wing/Unit Career Advisor for the 919th SOW/919th MPF.
